We already heard that Google representatives met with head of Hyundai U.S. John Krafcik. They planned to build self-driving fully autonomous car and needed a qualified advice from experienced person. But things changed. Now the head of Google “X” research lab officially declared that no car from Google will be produced. Now the company plans to create self-driving equipment for other vehicles; the actual automaker is not mentioned. Google self-driving technology will be installed into a ready-made vehicle – this doesn’t require much money on research work, production (new factory lines must be built to create a car from scratch) and shortens time when the product will actually be produced. Intel, Delphi and Apple selected similar option.
