One of 2021's big news stories is the return of Chery to South Africa. The Chinese automaker departed the country a good few years ago, leaving customers who bought into their product (remember the Chery QQ3?) without any real support and a way forward. Come this year and all the talk has been around Chery returning to South Africa and kickstarting its second coming with the Tiggo 4 Pro. More products are earmarked for the local market, including the possibility of a small bakkie and maybe even an electric vehicle. Still, the Tiggo 4 Pro must convince a somewhat cautious buyer that Chery is back and in a better position than before.
